Lisa’s family was a true dog family. She grew up with at least one or two Lab’s running around the house. In 2001, Lisa’s life changed forever when she got her own Lab, Libby. All the love and compassion that Lisa held in her heart found its purpose. Libby was Lisa’s best friend who showed her unconditional love and patience. Lisa’s love and bond with Libby struck deep to her core, like a mother to her child. Libby also became Lisa’s inspiration in helping to create AARM when she died. Now two years after Libby’s passing, Lisa has a houseful wonderful rescues that invigorate her everyday and inspire her to help as many animals she can.
Lisa’s very supportive husband, Craig, also shares her passion and love for animals. So much so, their business earmarks a percent of their profits annually to support AARM and the needs of the animal rescue community. |
Courtney has been obsessed with animals as long as anyone can remember. As a young girl, she always took on the role of caring for the family dog. At the age of 13 she got her first horse. Her experience with animals has led her to be skilled with working with the difficult to adopt animals. Courtney’s love for animals led her to accomplish an associate's degree in Equine Science and a Bachelors in Animal Science with an Equine emphasis. She went on to train horses for years. She decided she wanted to get into rescue work and thought she needed a skill to do the most good so she completed her degree to receive her veterinary technician certificate. That led her to leading the medical team of a local animal rescue for three years. At that point, she decided that she wanted to start her own organization with the help of a dear friend, Lisa Klimczak, AARM was born.

Laura has had a passion not only for animals but nature in general from a very young age. She studied Nursery Management with a understudy in Animal Husbandry. She started volunteering with the AZ Humane Society in 2012 in the small creature area and started to assist Maricopa County Animal Care and Control in 2014 by doing laundry. In 2015 she became a volunteer at MCACC in the Petite Pet Project area working with mostly Chihuahuas to work on behavior modification so they can become adoptable. In 2018 she started working with the larger breed dogs at MCACC. Through her affiliation with Animal Lovers of Laveen and volunteering at MCACC she recognized the need to stop the inflow of dogs into the county system and reached out to AARM to seek a partnership in this regard.
